It's Safe and Sanitary

Although the WET-ICE Pack is cold, you never have to be afraid of frostbite — like you do with the uncontrollable temperatures of gel packs. You see, all that touches the skin through the terrycloth sleeve is water. And water is always warmer than freezing.

As long as the water keeps dripping away, it will remain 33 degrees farenheit, one degree above freezing. That's the perfect temperature — cold enough to do the best job, but warm enough to be completely safe. Your WET-ICE Pack pack hasn't sprouted a leak. This is exactly what it's designed to do to keep it safe and cold, but not freezing.

So don't stop the drip! Just use the towel to mop the drip.

With the WET-ICE Pack, initial stinging and burning sensations are normal — but there is no danger. This is simply the surface tissue reacting to the cold. There's no need to worry. Refreezable gel, however, could be causing frostbite when it produces stinging and burning sensations.

With the WET-ICE Pack you will feel the cold penetrating more deeply into your tissues than with any other icing procedure. This is not your imagination - it's real. And one of the reasons WET-ICE Pack works so well. It's the drip that allows the penetration.

Usually within 10 minutes, the area is numb. This allows you to leave the pack on for the 20 - 25 minutes recommended for maximum effect.

And the WET-ICE Pack is washable and reusable. In fact, it's guaranteed for 300 uses, no matter how many times it's washed and dried!

Some people wonder if the WET-ICE Pack will transmit germs from multiple uses. The truth is that ice water and cold temperatures create a highly unfriendly and inhospitable environment for germs. In 9 years of use in over 10,000 schools and colleges, there has been no record of any problems. However, the packs can be washed between uses for peace of mind.
