Why Does WET-ICE Pack Stay Cold Longer?

Because it drips! When the melt water (which is warmer than the ice) drips off, it keeps the remaining ice from melting prematurely. So it keeps the whole pack colder much longer. Simply keep a towel on hand to catch the drip (included in the kit).

When ice is placed in a plastic bag, the ice sits in an accumulating pool of melt water, causing it to thaw faster.

Refreezable gel packs, like melted water, warm to room temperature as soon as they come out of the freezer. But against a warm body, they heat up even faster.

Chemical packs, if they work at all, heat up even faster — practically useless for an injury.

The key to WET-ICE Pack is its dynamic interface which creates the drip. Ice in plastic bags has a static interface which reduces it's ability to absorb heat energy because it allows the melt water to build up in the bag. WET-ICE Pack absorbs dramatically more heat than a similar volume of ice in a plastic bag.

No wonder the WET-ICE Pack pack stops swelling more effectively and keeps minor injuries from becoming major!

Sports doctors, athletes, trainers and coaches throughout the U.S. use and recommend the WET-ICE Pack for quick and efficient first aid:

"As a coach and a player, I've used many different cold products. WET-ICE Pack is by far the best. Every team should be using it."

Hervi Rualo
California Youth Soccer Association
State Coaching Chairman

"WET-ICE Pack is very effective. If we kept only one tool field side, this would be it."

Frank Randall
AAD, Iowa State University

"WET-ICE Pack is the product we keep at our fingertips, for immediate use."

Spanky Stevens

It's no mistake that the WET-ICE Pack is in use in over 10,000 high schools and colleges all over the country.
